360 Degree Adventure Chateau De Chantilly
Horse Racecourse and Show France
There is a beautiful path from the castle down to the horse museum where horse show and old race course are. You pass beautiful views of the castle, a river, many gazebos and statues. The horse museum where they used to view and bid on high bred horses is a amazing entrance and surprisingly the arch where only one car can pass through at a time is the entrance into the town of Chantilly./
HORSE MUSEUM
Below is a video of a horse showing off its various tricks. They have trained them to walk sideways, walk in place, walk backwards, walk prettily, jump, and cross over walk diagonally. It was quite impressive.
Horse display
As I walked into the horse show, I was stunned by the beauty of this building. It was most likely used in the past for nobles to come out and view highly bred horses for sale. The horse show here was a display of all the beautiful things these horses have been trained to do, but it was an hour and a half long and you were told after it started that you are not allowed to leave, and the show could have easily been reduced to a half hour. It made us super late to our next town and was kind of frustrating. I thought we were heading to a horse race and it was definitely not that.
Here is the crew before the show, and below is a quick shot of the show with all the amazing costumes.
Below these huge horse statues stand as sentries into the show. Gorgeous.

Afterwards we headed into the cute town of Chantilly and ate at the Salon de THE DAMMANN FRERES. I had a delicious quiche. We also order a Salmon Lasagna and a Chicken Salad, bother were very good.
Chantilly was a wonderful spot for any France Vacation. It is just 1 hour North of Paris. I thought the grounds of the Chateau de Chantilly and the interior of the Chateau were so worth the price. I am not sure I would do the Horse show again for it was too long and you could not leave once it started. I would definitely recommend the restaurant Salon de THE DAMMANN for it was a wonderful place to end a wonderful day at Chantilly, France.
This really was an amazing Tour of France. I loved our focus of exploring a quaint town near each different country border so we felt like we experienced multiple countries yet never left France and didn't drive as far. It was brilliant. If you want to see all the places we traveled, just use the search magnifying glass at the top right and type in France to see more of this fun vacation.
