Big Rock Candy Mountain in 360 Degrees

I was heading home from hiking some amazing places over Spring Break, and the the thought popped into my brain, wouldn't it be cool to see a yellow mountain?  I thought yeah, but I don't know if yellow mountains even exist, at least not in Utah.  Not less than 1/2 hour later I was driving down a road I got detoured to through Sevier, Utah, and my jaw dropped when right there was bright vivid YELLOW MOUNTAINS!  WOW!  Thoughts from the other side of the veil are CRAZY COOL!! The Lord is aware of us, and if we listen he is trying to help us find routes to great things.  You just have to listen with your heart.
Of course I had to get out and check them out, and they were even more amazing than these pictures can possibly show.

I was even more surprised when I got done, and found that across the street down just a little is Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort that even has a spring called Lemonade Springs.    Check it out!

I guess there was a song called Big Rock Candy Mountain, and the settlers here just embraced it and decided to name the spring and the Mountain from this song.

I love how this Yellow Mountain Contrasts with the Green Pine Trees. So beautiful.

The ground was yellow dust like partials that you could easily see how this used to be called Gold Dust Trail.
One of the Many Yellow Mountains you see  before and across the road from the Big Rock Candy Mountain

This reminds me of the Bright Yellow Field of Spring Flowers I have enjoyed on 2 other trails in Utah.  The first was Dry Canyon Trail where I ran into a gorgeous field of Yellow Arrowroot Flowers, and the next was on the trail up to Lake Blanche.  Both Trails have amazing sections of Yellow Wild Flowers that are delightful.   With Spring around the Corner, these are both great hikes to put on your lists.

Once of my favorite yellowish snacks for the trail are dried mangoes.  Such a great yummy healthy snack, and they go great in the hiking backpack.

GrandStaff Canyon
I love how Grand this Canyon feels because of the height of he canyon walls.  I love the arch at the end.  I also really enjoy crossing back and forth across the river.

Corona and Bow Tie Arch

Also an Epic Hike.  Has that challenging sections that get your blood pumping from the challenge, but your not really in danger.  The arches are amazing.  The canyons are beautiful, and the trail is well marked. Just follow the green rectangles!

Tower Arch
I love this hike, for it is a less crowded Arches Hike.  It is not hard in difficulty, but REALLY required you to have navigating tech, or to be very good at watching the Cairns, but sure feels awesome making it there!

and lastly

Double O Arch, Devil's Garden Primitive Loop
is a crazy cool hike. You walk on Rock Fins, and see 7 arches on one hike.  You also have areas that you feel like you are on Top of the World  and can see forever.  Fabulous.  Check it out in 360 Degrees.
