Crystal Lake Uintas in 360 Degrees

Crystal Lake is a lake by Washington lake that you need hike 1/3 of a mile to get access to. This is nice for it keeps the lake quieter and a little more peaceful. We didn't have much luck here with fish, but my neighbor had great success here fly fishing. You can walk around the whole lake, but because it has less traffic, there is not a clear trail in places. There is a trail many take that walks away from the lake up to Washington lake, but the trail doesn't walk that close to the lake. It is up on a ledge, so there was time we would hear someone, and look for someone new on the lake. We couldn't see anyone, and then we would see a glimpse of them far off up on that trail. Most those people are going on a hike to visit lakes, and have no clue they are walking by their first lake for it is hidden through the trees and down a hillside.

Things I Liked about Crystal Lake

I liked the different mountains you could see off in the distance. At different spots on the lake you could see Notch Mountain, and haystack Mountain from around the Lake.
I liked that I could walk around the lake. It wasn't a worn path, but that just means less traffic and I am ok with that.
I loved that it was a quiet quaint lake that was super easy to relax at.

Wild Flowers at Crystal Lake

Crystal Lake had a fun variety of Wild Flowers to enjoy. I found White March Marigolds, these cute yellow ones below and Indian Paintbrush and more on my stroll around the Lake.
