Paddle Board at North Creek Immersive VR 360 Nature Vacation

Immersive Paddleboarding North Creek

Paddleboarding North Creek & H’s Backbone Bridge Immersive VR 360 Nature Vacation

I am kind of biased, but even after hours of working on these shots and having to watch and rewatch this video over and over again,  I still think this video is kind of magical.   There is something about the fun music and gliding around on this beautiful lake that just puts a smile on my face and feels me with happiness and joy.  I love that positive boost!    This virtual Getaway goes to North Creek Reservoir that this day was a beautifully smooth mountain lake with gorgeous reflections and some beautiful pine tree looking seaweed growing underneath.  Then we will travel up the road to Hells Backbone bridge to see this incredible white, pink and yellow canyon with all its crazy drop offs and jagged edges.  Definitely a very relaxing and enjoyable Nature Vacation or Nature Therapy to help relax and calm down your frayed nerves.  I know life it rough right now, but I believe in you just breath and look up.  It will be ok.  Sending Love,  Shauna

If you don't own a VRHeadset, click on the link below.  You will LOVE it.  I know I do.  I love it enough to wake up almost every morning and get an hour of VR in before facing my day.  I travel all over the world in Supernatural while excercising and sweating like crazy, then I head to Oculus TV to be transported to one of the places I love, and then I am ready for whatever comes my way that day!

Here is my 2D Trailer for OculusTV for Paddleboarding North Creek Reservoir.

I have to say that hitting this lake was such a happy accident.  We had spent about 5 days up in the backcountry of the Boulder Mountains working on my hubbies goal of 100  lakes /100 fish he made earlier this year. Again the with the goal we can't count a lake unless we catch something there so we visited about 45 lakes in 2020, and I think we are up to 30 right now!  Anyway after 5 days, I was so ready to head home and hit the shower after living out of the truck.  We had just visited Hells Backbone close to the Escalante area on the way down from Boulder Mountain, and were debating head home or stop and sleep.  We decided to stop and sleep.  Next morning we woke up, and of course the first thing on the agenda is checking to see if we missing knowing about any lakes that are close by, and I found a lake on the map just up the road!  Of course we had to go and check it out, but I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful this lake was. I was so happy we hadn't just headed home and missed this beautiful lake. I went from I wish I was heading home to a shower, to absolute gratitude for such a beautiful morning at North Creek Reservoir.

Information About  North Creek Reservoir and Hells Backbone Bridge

  • Hells Backbone Bridge is 4.5 hours south of SLC just east of the main Escanante area.  It is a decent drive from the main road up to the Bridge on dirt roads, but the dirt road is pretty well maintained as long as you don't travel too fast.  We passed a car that had thought it could go faster and it had gone off the road and it was stuck good.  The whole road turns off from Boudler and drops off  just past Escalante.  I personally like the road from Escalante up to Hells Backbone bridge. It is a beautiful drive with impressive cliffs and hiking trails I want to discover along that side.
  • The road up to North Creek is a parallel road that is just west of  the road up to Boulder Mountain.  It is a decent detour.  There is Posey Lake and Wide Hollow that are in actuallity closer to Hells Backbone.  Wide Hollow is fun, for it has the beautiful Petrified Forest right off the lake so it is perfect for my hubby and me.  He can fish and I can hit a trail.  The tricky thing about the Petrified Forest Trail is that it has kind of a first seciont and a second section.  The first section is not super exciting and feels a little "Staged", but I hear the second section is where it is really pretty.  It is on my bucket list of places I am going to hit this summer!

2D Trailer for Immersive Nature Experience at Periodic Springs and Snake River

Palisades, Periodic Springs, and Snake River are a beautiful combo if you are thinking about heading to Wyoming for the cooler weather. So many other events you can add to it, like horseback riding, or Jackson hole, or the Tetons.

If you don't have a VR Headset, they are so much fun.  I have enjoyed mine often to excercise when I can't hit a trail outdoors, and to virtually travel the world. It is so wonderful for my physical and mental health.  Here are links to some great VR Headsets.  Definitely worth it!

For the Virtual Reality Experience, I love to open a bottle of Cypress, get a nice breeze blowing on me, curl up in a comfy chair, and transport myself here or any of the other fun Nature Experience in my Oculus Portfolio.  It is a wonderful postive boost from Nature Therapy that helps fight depression and help you feel happier. Try it out.
