I hiked this is late July. What the trail lacked in wildflowers it gained in gorgeous views of Logan Canyon and the 200 foot tall cliffs across the way named the China Wall.  The trail has many large switchbacks that make the climb up the 1030 feet not that difficult.  The trail almost looks like it ends when you are on top of the caves, but there is a trail behind the bush that takes you down and around into the caves.  There are sections in the cave that could be slippery if it was a wet or snowy day so take precautions.  The main section is more of a tunnel instead of a cave that has a large opening inside.

BENEFITS OF HIKING STICKS

I of course love my hiking sticks for it makes hiking easier.  While hiking up the main section of the trail I didn't really feel like I needed the sticks, I was still grateful for them to use the 3 point system when walking on the cliff edges from one cave into the other.  I also was grateful when hiking up as I saw a snake quickly get out of my was ahead of me.  I was told that when you use sticks things like snakes and bigger animals get out of your path fast for you sound bigger and scarier than you really are.

I have also found a new favorite hiking thing.  Bareneck'd makes a cooling cloth that you put ice in.  For those hot days, you throw ice in it and it keeps you cool.  When it starts not cooling you, you just wet it down, ring it out, whip it around a little, and it will be nice and cool again.  It is fabulous!
