The training is over. The simulators are offline. Today, our Wayfinders go live. In this lesson, students are promoted to full Field Explorers and dispatched on active expeditions to four uncharted star systems, where they must perform a complete analysis from nothing but a raw energy signal.

🎯 Mission Objective: Students will perform a complete analysis of a rational function from its quotient form, including finding all intercepts and asymptotes, and converting it to transformation form.

👻 The Adventure: Wayfinder pilots are promoted to Field Explorers and sent on expeditions to four uncharted star systems. At each location, they must conduct a full analysis from a raw "Energy Signature" (Quotient Form) to certify the route as safe.

The Activity: Use your Starter Document to teach the full analysis protocol, introducing your brilliant VHXY circle diagram as the "Wayfinder's Cipher" for quickly remembering where to find the Vertical asymptote, Horizontal asymptote, X-intercept, and Y-intercept.

🔥 Main Activity: Scouting the Six Star Systems (Approx. 50 mins)

The Story: "Good luck out there, teams. Report back as you clear each system."

The Activity: Students work in their teams to rotate through the four "Star System" stations. At each station, they use the VHXY Cipher to complete a full analysis of the rational function, checking their work against the "Guild's Official Record" (the answer key) before moving on.

👾 Mini-Boss Challenge: The Cipher Stone (Approx. 10-15 mins)

The Story: "Your training is complete. Before you can be certified as Master Field Explorers, you must pass the Guild's final trial: activating the Wayfinder's Cipher Stone."

The Activity: As teams finish the stations, they tackle the Cipher Stone Mini-Boss Challenge. They must use their skills to find the four "runes" (V, H, X, Y) for a master signal to unlock the final path.

Excellent work, Analysts. The ancient star-charts have been reassembled. It's time to file your official debrief and evaluate your signal analysis skills.

10 (Master Field Explorer!): I can confidently take any raw "Energy Signature" (quotient form) and perform a complete, flawless analysis to find all its key features and convert it into a usable "Flight Plan" (transformation form).

8 (Skilled Explorer!): I can complete the full analysis but might need to be extra careful with my long division ("decryption") or my intercept calculations to avoid small errors.

6 (Field Cadet!): I can complete the full analysis with my expedition team, but I sometimes get stuck on one of the steps (like finding the y-intercept or converting forms) when working alone.

4 (Needs a Senior Guide...): The raw "Energy Signature" is still very confusing. I need significant guidance from the Guild Master to navigate the full analysis process from start to finish.
