Welcome to My World of Adventure!
Hello, I'm Shauna! I am so incredibly glad you are here. This blog is my ultimate passion project—a place where I share my journey of finding joy, wonder, and a little bit of magic in the world around us.
Whether I am exploring a breathtaking slot canyon, creating an immersive 3-hour Slow TV nature escape, bringing legends to life in costume, or designing an exciting new Math-Venture for my students, my goal is always the same: to find and share the light and beauty in the world.
By day, I am a secondary math teacher in the Alpine School District, which is where my 'Math-Ventures' were born! I love taking the elegance of a math problem and turning it into an engaging quest. Outside the classroom, I am passionate about capturing the beauty of the outdoors through 360-degree VR videography. Whether I am green-screening myself into historical legends or filming immersive 'Slow TV' nature escapes, my goal is to transport you to beautiful places. I try to navigate the web—and the trails—by the 'Golden Rule,' aiming to bring a positive, inspirational boost to every adventure I share.
🌿 The Heart Behind the Adventures
When I first started creating videos, my goal was simple: I wanted to transport people who physically could not go to these amazing, lovely places in nature. I wanted them to be able to soak it in and truly feel the healing power of the outdoors.
I started with VR 360 because it creates an incredibly high connection in the brain, making you believe you are really there. But I quickly realized a hurdle: it is hard for an older person, or a patient battling dementia, to put on a VR Headset.
That is why I expanded my channel to bring relaxing Virtual Vacations to flat screens. I create 3-hour Slow TV videos paired with natural ASMR audio and relaxing instrumental music (like the beautiful scores by Scott Buckley). There are no mid-roll commercials, making it the perfect uninterrupted background video for caregivers in old folks homes to help slow down the pacing of dementia patients. I love having it play on my Canvas TV in my kitchen as I go about my day—it feels like I have a beautiful, healing window straight into nature.
Slow TV Escapes
Bring the healing power of nature right into your living room. My Slow TV series offers 3-hour, uninterrupted, commercial-free videos of pristine natural landscapes. Perfect for caregivers, reading, studying, or just lowering your blood pressure after a long day.

As a teacher, I love turning math into an epic quest! Using green screens, costumes, and creative storytelling, I design gamified lesson plans that start with a story and make learning an exciting, interactive adventure for students.
