Shauna's Rating: 💎💎💎💎💎 (Soul-Cleansing)

There is a special kind of magic in a grand vista. Standing on a high peak and looking down on the world below gives a grandness to your thoughts. It shifts your perspective in an instant. The things that felt so heavy down in the valley suddenly feel manageable when viewed from the clouds.

As I stood on one of these epic overlooks, surrounded by the wind and the white-tipped mountains, a thought crossed my mind: If I was given one wish to throw out to the world from up here, what would it be?

For me, the answer was immediate. I would ask to drench the Earth with love.

This VR Getaway isn't just a collection of pretty places. It is a visual and emotional meditation designed to awaken the heart, raise your frequency, and bring you a profound sense of peace.

Part I: A Higher Perspective

The Classroom of the Sky

As we gaze out over places like the stunning Mount Sneffels in Colorado, it is easy to feel small. But in that smallness, there is incredible freedom.

✨ Lessons from The Light

In the book The Light After Death, there is a profound teaching that resonates perfectly when you are standing on top of the world:

"Your mortal existence is not a test. It is more of a classroom where souls are able to learn, grow, and be sorted. With a test, you can pass or fail... but The Light loves every single spirit and creation. He created a system where everyone succeeds, but only at the speed that they are able to grow."

☁️ The View from Above

Every time I get to an amazing view that looks down at people far below, I wonder about the perspective from above. Many people see Deity in different ways. Some get angry, wondering how a higher power could allow wars and evil.

For me, I see a loving father looking down. I think it is exactly like going to school. He wants us to learn and grow, and we can't have accountability and growth without free agency and consequences. I think He looks down with tons of love, and perhaps a little sadness, wanting to take away our hardships but wise enough to know how much we will learn if we use each experience as a classroom of growth.

In some of my darkest times, when I would cry into my pillow at night, I would plead for help. And I would get this overwhelming feeling of being wrapped in a warm hug. No, my challenges didn't magically go away. But I felt support and gentle nudges helping me navigate the path forward.

Whenever I stand at these vista views, I think of those times. I think of how it must feel from up there, looking down, hoping we can learn, grow, and realize how much better the journey would be if we could figure out how to create a net of Love for each other.

The secret to finding more joy in this classroom? Love. As you love others, the harmony of your soul gets more in tune. It literally raises your own frequency, and can help raise the frequency of anyone receiving that love.

"Nothing glows brighter than the heart awakened to the unseen light of love that lives within it."
- Guy Finley
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
- Martin Luther King Jr.
Part II: The Alpine Reward

Speechless at Lake Mary

One of the vistas that truly left me speechless in this video is the transition from Lake Mary to Lake Martha in Utah.

We visited a little too early in the season, so there was still a ton of snow on the ground. The trail meant trudging through deep drifts, which made it exhausting, but it also made the reward so much bigger!

🪞 The Perfect Mirror

I have an absolute weakness for bright white mountains contrasting with calm, bright blue water and perfect mirror reflections. This spot totally hit the mark! It even has a tiny island right in the middle of the lake that makes it feel so magical.

As we hiked, the birds and squirrels were chirping and playing, a few brave souls were hidden in corners camping, and we even met a fun new friend on the trail.

📸 The Camera's Confusion

I worked so hard to get up there right at sunrise. It was gorgeous in person, but the brilliant white snow reflecting the morning light completely confused my 360 camera! On film, the snow turned this hilarious, weird, unnatural red color. LOL! Sometimes, technology just can't handle the sheer brilliance of nature.

Part III: The Red Rocks

Sedona's Secret Forest

Some vistas require a brutal climb to earn the view. During this video, we travel to Ooh Aah Point and deep into Fay Canyon, just outside of Sedona, Arizona.

📖 Traveler's Tale: The Oasis

The desert can be harsh, but if you push through, you find magic. We stumbled into what felt like a "Secret Forest." There was a massive amount of driftwood creating a beautiful, natural beach right in the middle of the arid landscape.

It was so lush down there—a little hidden oasis. Finding these pockets of green among the towering red rocks is a reminder that even in the driest, hardest seasons of our lives, there are always places of refuge and growth waiting to be discovered.

"Life is the flower for which love is the honey." - Victor Hugo

Part IV: The Harsh Desert

Hope in the Needles

Sometimes the most awe-inspiring vistas aren't just sweeping landscapes, but the tiny miracles hidden within them. When we explored the Canyonlands Needles District, it was a harsh, dry, and unforgiving environment filled with crazy, jagged rock formations.

We had been walking through the backcountry all day without seeing a single flower. The heat and dust were intense. But then, out of nowhere, we stumbled upon a true "wow" moment.

🌵 The Blooming Desert

Tucked away in this barren landscape was the most incredible cactus, completely covered in bright blooms—I have yet to see another one that huge!

Right nearby were delicate white Sego Lilies. In the harsh desert, these flowers are powerful symbols of hope and resilience. Finding them blooming so brilliantly after miles of dry rock felt like a direct message from the universe: no matter how tough the environment, beauty finds a way to survive and shine.

Part V: Personal Reflections

A Mother's Hope

Standing on these high peaks often makes my heart turn homeward. While gazing out over a particularly vibrant, sunlit valley, I wrote this poem for my child who was leaving home to face the world.

I look down from way up high, Craving to send such love, my delightful child, I sigh. Tortured to watch from above, I promised independence in your journey away at school. Growing from choices makes sense, Oh, how I want to break the rule. Consequences are hard, yet I watch with earnest hope, Please, pull out the love card; it cleans much better than soap. From my eyes... he is your brother, I want you to get along, Love is the key, there is no other, for living a happy song.

The Healing Connection 🌟

When we love another person unconditionally, we create a connection with them. Those connections aren't just pleasant; they are powerful. They can help heal a lifetime of wounds. Remember, the love we give away is the only love we keep.

Part VI: Virtual Reality

Transport Yourself to the Top

So what are you waiting for? Grab a VR Headset and enjoy a wonderful, soul-cleansing boost from nature. It’s a great opportunity to travel across the USA on a no-stress, free mini-vacation, right from your living room.

🔎 VR Treasure Hunt

As you listen to the inspiring quotes in the video, look around and try to spot these details:

  • Devil's Kitchen: Look for the broken plains and the massive crack we head straight into!
  • Noah's Ark: Keep an eye out for the massive rock formation in Utah that looks just like a giant wooden ship.
  • Sunshine Yellow Canyon: Find the vibrant, glowing yellow/green rock walls that look like they caught the sun.
  • The Cloud Dance: Don't just look down at the ground! Watch the time-lapses of the clouds moving over the peaks—it is incredibly mesmerizing.
